TNS' shruti is a major problem. He has abused his vocal chords.

Excellent rendition by the maestro. Is it the great Neyveli Santhanagopalan sitting with the Tanpura behind? This is one of the best ragas I like. Very touching and soul-stirring indeed.

Very good. DK Pattammal is a Classic, Purity personified maestro. Everyone can learn from her divine and aesthetic renderings. Thanks for sharing!

A poor rendition, in my opinion. Apparently to TNS, raga bhava is something sold in a store for Rs 50 a kilo.

You are right, however TNS fans cannot stand that their favourite artiste is criticised. According to them TNS can NEVER EVER do any wrong!

Excellent rendition by Sri TNS

So many problems with his singing:1. Off sruti (0:38)2. He needs to open his mouth, please! (See @ 0:10). 3. He should stop pushing syllables to just after the beat. This unnecessary pseudo-drama.4. Worst of all: this sweet and touching song needs no baroque embellishments (1:38 and 2:02, 2:15). Each of today's "stars" should study a singer like D.K. Pattammal and carefully listen to how they have sung this song. There are limits to "style" and "originality".
